==August 20== ===Go Hot!===

(originally posted at TalkGpsLocations):

Do you want to be there when the axons go hot?

*Dana's updated blog ( seems to point pretty solidly to the coordinates as being spots players should appear at, rather than data to analyze. "So many emails I received this week said the same thing: When the axons go hot, you're going to be there. I think that's very brave. And I'm incredibly grateful..." leads me to believe that the people running the game expect us to show up at these sites.--Arctiki 11:31, 20 Aug 2004 (PDT) **I wonder whether the blog can really be trusted. Everyone wants as much information as possible to solve the GPS puzzle, but in the context of the game, Dana knows nothing more than we do. She found that distance script, and she seems to be implying that the locations are important, but is she just repeating to everyone what they want to hear? I guess we'll find out in a few days.--UserTachikoma 03:04, 21 Aug 2004 (PDT) *I very strongly recommend that people avoid the Memphis location. No amount of cool stuff is worth getting shot, stabbed, raped, mugged, or curbed, and the former Mall of Memphis is an area where the above are quite likely to happen. --Salvation122, 10:22, 20 Aug 2004 (CST) *The Santa Cruz location, though at the Boardwalk, is also occasionally inhospitable, but I imagine we should have no problem at that time of day. (Much of SC's Gross Drug Profits, er, Product has been generated there.) I posted up at [WWW]Aidan Hawke's message board if anyone else wants to meet up. UserBillness 02:22, 22 Aug 2004 (PDT)
